POV: You're so excited to have gotten a template pack because you won't have to create content from scratch and will save so much time only to feel.... overwhelmed..! 😵💫
There are just too many templates and you may not know where to start or how to use them.
If this sounds like you, you're not alone.
Many people love the templates, but also get overwhelmed by exactly how they should use them, so they don't use them at all.
I want to help you see how with a little bit of understanding about what kind of content you would want to be posting as well as a little bit of planning helps create a clear path on how to use the templates.
Any form of content should fall into one of these 4 categories: educational, connection, entertainment and promotional.
Generally, most pieces of content do fall into one of those categories, but if you aren't sure, just ask yourself if the content you want post can be put into any of those categories. The templates I create always fall into at least one of those categories, sometimes multiple.
As a life coach, you generally want to be posting educational pieces of content most of the time. You want to be teaching your audience ways you can serve them with your coaching with the tools you provide. The more the know what you do, the more willing they are to sign up and get coaching from you.
Here is an example of how your content could plan out as a life coach:
In the example, you can see how most of the posts are forms of educational content. You are teaching your audience about certain topics that are relevant to life coaching and what they can expect working with you.
There are also a few pieces of video content formats included to help you expand your reach so your content is able to reach people who are involved on different types of platforms on IG.
A promotional piece of content used every now and then helps to establish you as a trusted source and a connection post to help your audience get to know you as a person and connect with who you are.
** This is not a marketing content strategy, but a general content strategy.
FAQs About Content Planning:
. How many times should I be posting each week?
How many times you post during the week is up to you. You don't have to post everyday. This is just an example of how you can use and implement the templates into an average content plan.
Everybody's social media needs and boundaries are different. I generally post 3x/week for my clients. Another client I post 4-5x/week. As for myself, I shoot for at least 2 posts/week.
If you find yourself getting burned out by posting on social media: post less, batch your content and schedule out your posts or take a break.
. Generally, what's a good content strategy?
A good content strategy includes a variety of a few different types of media posts (Reels, photos, static, videos, etc) along with what type of content it is (educational, connection, entertainment, promotional) and the goal you are aiming for. Try not to just post quotes everyday (unless that is specifically your intention).
. Post goals?? What are those and why are they important?
If you are wanting more shares or for people to download a freebie or visit your website or buy something, those are post goals. If you have a certain step you would like your audience to take, you can help nudge them in that direction with having clear post goals.
By using one call-to-action, you are creating an easy decision for your audience to make. When you ask for what you want in a simple way, it's clear what action is needed and people can choose to follow through or not. It's an easy way for you to hit your post goals.
